Nanhua University Students to "love hugs" pass warm
In order to break the line between life and learning. To encourage students come through four parts by real acting, they were “feeling”, “imaging”, “practicing” and “sharing”. To stimulate students’ potential abilities of self-studying, by holding a plan called “I CAN come true”, encouraging students to challenge and surpass themselves. You-Jhen, Shih, student of Department of Applied Social with other three students grouped up as a team called “Free Hugs”. These four students had a journey around Taiwan by train from Chiayi, they will try to warm people’s heart through nothing but a simple hug in everywhere in Taiwan.
When the Internet and smartphone getting popularize, people usually ignore their family or friends. For this reason, You-Jhen, Shih started “Free Hugs”, traveling around Taiwan by train for seven days. They will go to main train stations, walk into people and give them a hug, hoping people can get warm by a hug.
Officer of Studying Affair, Mrs. Yu said, “Free Hugs” is a famous activity in the world, a hug can let people feel closer from each other, and let people understand that love is not about nationalities, money or races. A hug is better than any word, it can give warm and touched to everyone. The Free Hug team will start their travel from Nanhua University in August, 24th, heading to Tainan, Kaohsiung, Kenting and turn to eastern Taiwan, then they will heading north and come back to Chiayi through Taipei. They will deliver warm and blessing during the journey. Mrs. Yu also gave “a hug” to bless the “Free Hug” team.
You-Jhen, Shih said that everyone can see many unknown people everyday, many of them have vigilance even hostility with their eye contact and choose keep distance from each other. “Free Hug” team wish a hug can deliver strength and smile to the people.
